EIS and Syclo Announce a Partnership to Streamline Manufacturing Execution Processes
Stillwater, MN – December 2, 2010 – Enhanced Information Solutions (EIS), a Business Intelligence consulting firm with expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), has completed Syclo’s Agentry Certification Program. As an official Certified Solution Implementation Partner for Agentry, EIS will use the Agentry platform to configure solutions that mobilize manufacturing execution processes, for Life Sciences, Food and Beverage, and other industries.
By utilizing Syclo’s market-leading Agentry mobility platform, EIS will have the ability to integrate mobile applications to a variety of prominent MES products. The high degree of configurability inherent in the Agentry development environment, combined with EIS’ deep business intelligence knowledge, will allow EIS to create applications that address core functional needs within the marketplace. Modified and custom solutions are also available to meet specific requirements of their individual customers.

Mobilizing MES will bring a host of benefits to EIS customers. In the warehouse, material management allows efficient job performance at the point-of-use, with material handlers scanning containers as they arrive at their destination location. This accurate inventory picture avoids stock-outs and material write-offs. On the production floor, operators read/perform work instructions, material quality checks are executed just prior to process consumption to enforce proper usage, in-process testing data is recorded and product output functions report inventory quantities as product is being created. Throughout the facility, equipment usage activities are accurately logged, eliminating the need to keep track of use logs.
All transactions are captured and stored in a central database, enabling quality organizations to ensure that product is being manufactured per defined specifications, eliminating costly product recalls. The added benefit of real-time updates to the MES and ultimately the top-level ERP system results in precise purchasing and efficient scheduling activities, streamlining the organization from dock-to-dock.
